My Story

Hi! I’m Fernanda, also known as Fern, and I’m the owner and heart behind Earthen Grace Esthetics.

I come from a family of creators: my dad made Brazilian treats by hand, wrapping each treat and selling them to local markets in Brazil. My mom crafted homemade perfumes, which she would lovingly give away to friends and family. She loved macramé and poured herself into the creative arts. Their love for craftsmanship and care shaped the foundation of everything I value today.

When they came to America, they brought that same spirit with them. For years, they worked in an Italian restaurant, learning the rhythm of service and expanding their culinary knowledge. My parents eventually moved on from the restaurant industry and started a small cleaning company, where they serviced commercial properties and residential homes.

Years later, things came full circle and they opened their own Brazilian restaurant on the North Shore of Boston. I grew up watching my parents work hard for their dreams and this instilled the value of hard work and perseverance in me. They showed me that nothing is impossible.

Entrepreneurship is a big part of my family history. I grew up hearing stories about my grandmother, who was a multi-site salon owner in Brazil, and a gifted hairstylist. She was known for transforming hair disasters into something beautiful. Through her work, she impacted so many of the people she met. I live to do the same — whether through skincare or simply getting to know someone’s story.

Before becoming an esthetician, I worked in the family restaurant, in the cleaning industry, in retail, and in customer service. Each job taught me how to serve people well. Today, I carry that experience into every treatment I offer. Earthen Grace Esthetics was born out of my love for people, my creative roots, and my belief that beauty is directly tied to the divine imprint of our Creator.

Lastly, creativity is at the heart of who I am. I find inspiration in beauty, art, music, and fashion. I love expressing myself through cooking and creating delicious meals/drinks too. I’m truly happiest when I’m creating and surrounded by any artistic expression.

Good books, quality coffee, and peaceful moments in nature are some of my favorite things. I naturally connect with people, and those around me often say they feel truly seen and safe with me. I cherish time with my friends, family, and my son, and I’m always up for a good thrift shop adventure!

Thanks for reading a bit about me! I’m looking forward to meeting you 🤍
